WGS believes that a child who is exposed to a multitude of experiences, as opposed to being solely focused on academics, is the kind of child who grows up to excel socially and emotionally. For holistic approach to learning, activities like sports, art, theatre, public speaking, community service are paramount. To meet this end, we integrate both classroom and beyond classroom activities. This enhances growth and promotes a meaningful learning. ‘Page on stage’ is a guiding line for all our activities. These activities give children the impetus in an atmosphere of constructive and healthy competition. WGS students participate in the following beyond the academic activities.
- Art and Craft: Through a variety of mediums like fabric, sand, paint, paper, clay
- Field Trips: Trips are arranged for the students as a part of learning. Students participate in field trips only after parent’s signed permission is obtained by the deadline mentioned in the form. Verbal parent approval is not honoured.
- Creative Art: Music and Dance where our students have option to pursue instrumental and vocal music or any dance form.
- Theatre and Dramatics
- Yoga and Aerobics
- Sport and Athletics
- Community and Service
The school holds assemblies featuring our students in music performances, celebrations and events. Parents are welcome to attend assemblies or special events like local holidays or student learning. Student can have classroom parties subsequent to approval by the school’s administration. These parties are most commonly held to celebrate the accomplishment of a goal or project completion.
